The sustainability of the results in the project \'\'Risk assessment of the pollution caused by rivers and discharges in costal areas\'\'
The project is oriented towards the expansion of importance of sustainable development and conservation of water resources. The results of the research will be available to all interested stakeholders on the website of the Applicant for the duration of the project.
A free forum for the support of CPoRT users (free computer application developed by the team) will remain active after the completion of the project. Use of the application will be provided to the Applicant students in the Coastal Engineering course where they will have the opportunity to get acquainted with all the problems regarding the pollution in coastal areas with the emphasis on issues generated by rivers and discharges.
The subject of the research that will be covered in this project in terms of the risk of pollution, support in the decision-making in the management of water resources and ultimately the improvement of the conditions of life in coastal areas in its further development has the potential for the application of projects in 2 (Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine research, maritime and inland waters and the bio-economy, and the Climate activity, the environment, resource efficiency and raw materials) out of 7 social challenges defined in the Horizon 2020.
